You may be asking, ”what is remote tax preparation”?
Basically, clients can scan their tax documents and upload them to my secure portal. This is no different than scanning and emailing their documents to me…except it is more secure. Once I have completed your taxes, they will be saved on my portal for your access or I can securely email them to you. The options to review your tax return can be over the phone, via Zoom or in person.
At a minimum, I hope the majority of you will consider uploading your documents to me. I do realize that some of you may not be tech saavy, but I am more than willing to work with you on this. It is relatively easy. If you are up for the challenge, we can work together to get you set up to access my portal. Please reach out to me as soon as possible to get set up.
If the remote thing absolutely doesn’t work for you, I will have my tax drop-off box at my son’s house at 2629 Miller Drive, Allison Park, PA 15101.The box will be located on the right side wall of the front porch. You would want to park on the street at the walkway which will take you to the front porch. If you encounter Skyla, their GoldenDoodle, she is harmless. She will probably lick you and want to play.
I have secured temporary office space at 4489 Mt. Royal Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101 from January thru Tax Day. The space is on the lower level of a totally refurbished house which is home to Slagel Insurance. My plan is to use this space primarily to review clients’ tax returns for those who are not comfortable with technology, who don’t own a computer, or request a face-to-face meeting. I expect to be busier than I have ever been and will have to limit tax reviews and meetings to 30 minutes.
By now, you should have received your username from me and have created your password and authenticated yourself. Please remember both your username and password. You will need this information every time you want to upload tax documents for this year and subsequent years.
